Fun with RR Families

Yesterday we had the pleasure of going to a Reece's Rainbow gathering of sorts. It was a chance for Oregon families to eat and hang out.  A lot of us know each other from the blogging world so it was fun to meet face to face.

There were families that have already adopted, some that are in the process of adopting, some advocates for children who need families, and a few people that are pondering the idea of adoption.

It was SO nice for Darrell and I to meet all these wonderful people. It really feels like a club. We can all relate somehow. We got to pick the brains of couples that recently returned from their adoption trips.  We really learned a lot of helpful hints.

Our Leenie did great as usual. Her Auntie Em was there to hold her and love on her!

When we got home we started learning Russian from some apps. on our phone. Because Russian is most likely the language that we'll be using when we travel. Then today we went to get our fingerprints done at our local police department. The wait was about an hour long. The women waiting next to us in line spoke Russian. It was fun to hear what it should sound like, they helped us with our pronunciation. It was a God thing for sure that those ladies were there in line with us.

We look forward to the next RR meet up. We hope to be bringing our little guy with us next time : )

  1. Haley,
I am so glad someone is adopting Copeland. I got the privilege of naming him on Reece's Rainbow. I would love to send you something if you wouldn't mind sending me your address to ivory6194 @ yahoo . com. Praying for your family and Copeland as you work through the process to bring him home.
    Ivy
